Due to Golem, Vodafone Germany started a test-run within it’s LTE-800 frequence for its IoT project Narrowband-IoT. First projects have already started on 1st of February 2017: Together with DB Systel they started an IoT project for garbage cans at train stations of Deutsche Bahn. Their fill level is automatically measured and transmitted for automatic service orders.
Another project had been started with Deutsche Telekom in October 2016, where a commercial parking spot management system has been created within a narrow band IoT network, which guides drivers to free parking spots.
